Detection of transcripts processed by DSSs in UBC. RT-PCR amplification of UBC from HEK293 cells reveals a ladder of bands. The experiment was performed in three biological replicates. The schematic on the right side displays the composition of the transcript isoforms, which were sequenced through Sanger sequencing. The yellow boxes denote the ubiquitin units, the red bar indicates the AGGT motif, and the numbers in the yellow boxes represent the order of ubiquitin monomers. The blue boxes represent exons within which ubiquitin units are located
