Distance error with fixed 100 Mb sequence per genome for the avian dataset. The errors of Mash and AAF for the two eagle species (H. albicilla and H. leucocephalus) were extremely large (Mash: ≈ 4000%, AAF > 3000% error), dominating the color spectrum; we excluded H. albicilla to help readability; for the eagles, Skmer’s estimate is 0.00244 (∼9% error)
