Neighbor-joining tree showing the phylogenetic analysis of cytochrome P450 (CYP) genes of M. domestica (MD, red) in relation to CYP genes from D. melanogaster (DM, green). Clustal W was used to perform multiple sequence alignment and Phylip was used to compute the tree. The tree was rooted with human CYP51 as an out-group. The four insect CYP clades are shown in different colors. Sequences for the cytochrome P450 genes and the gene names were taken from the DR Nelson P450 homepage [59].
