  1. Distribution was analyzed in FTI-treated HGPS cells in 15% serum (proliferating), 0.5% serum for 7 days (quiescent) and 24, 36 and 48 hours after the re-addition of serum. The distribution of NM1β in proliferating cells was more like control fibroblasts with a normal distribution of nucleolar + rim + nucleoplasmic that became like normal quiescent cells with the withdrawal of serum and returned to a more normal distribution for proliferating cells within the expected time frame (36 to 48 hours) [42]. Numbers are percentage values with ± standard deviation.
