  1. aTRP channels in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster, the worm Caenorhabditis elegans, the sea squirt Ciona intestinalis, the puffer fish (Seifuku, Fugu rubripes), the zebrafish (Danio rerio), mouse and human. The numbers correspond to proteins with distinct channel properties within each subfamily [104–106]. For more detailed information concerning properties of TRP channels, please refer to the IUPHAR database [103]. bOthers report about 60 TRPs in zebrafish, 30 in sea squirts and 24 in C. elegans.
