For the ten directional motifs, only the occurrences on the positive strand are represented. (x) The distributions of the INR motif (TGACTY), from -100 to +100, for both Drosophila and human promoters at a single base-pair resolution. The number of occurrences of each element has been normalized, based on a dataset of 10,000 promoters, to compensate for the different sizes of the datasets.
