Transposition catalyzed by the RAG proteins. A fragment of DNA generated by RAG-mediated cleavage, with RAG proteins bound to the signal ends (the donor), can capture another DNA duplex (the target). The RAG proteins bound to the signal ends catalyze integration into the target, generating a characteristic duplication of the target sequence at the integration site (arrowheads).
