The workflow of the inGAP-CDG algorithm. The inGAP-CDG algorithm mainly includes four steps: six-frame translation, SVM filtration, codon-based de Bruijn graph construction, and traversal. First, input sequences (reads, merged reads, or assembled transcripts) are translated into potential ORFs. Next, inGAP-CDG collects highly reliable ORFs (rORFs) with strict parameters using a combination of SVM and a codon-based de Bruijn graph. Lastly, inGAP-CDG builds a codon-based de Bruijn graph based on all of the predicted ORFs and generates full-length CDSs by traversing the graph under the guidance of rORFs
