XPS1 is required for POX induction by xup25. Leaf disks from A. thaliana ecotype Col-0 (white boxes), xps1-1 (light gray boxes), or xps1-2 (dark grey boxes) plants were treated with water or the noted concentration of flg22 or xup25 peptide and total POX activity was measured 20 h after treatment. Boxes show the lower quartile value, median value, and upper quartile value, while the whiskers extend to the lowest and highest values. Statistical comparisons are made between each treated sample and the untreated control of the same genotype (n = 18, *P <0.05, **P <0.01, repeated measures ANOVA followed by Dunnett’s Test)
