Histograms of the numbers of Tfbs in promoter regions depending on analysis widow size and ENCODE quality cutoff. This figure consists of ten panels identified through row and column margin labels. The top row provides information on Tfbs distributions including all ENCODE sites‚ while the bottom row illustrates distributions at the ENCODE quality cutoff of 500. The motif quality cutoff refers to the quality score assigned to all Tfb sites by the ENCODE consortium, which varies between zero through 1000 (from low to high quality). The promoter window sizes vary from 250 to 10,000 ± TSS (see column labels). The inclusion of all sites and the expansion of the analysis window result in distributions with longer tails in high numbers of mapping Tfbs.
