The x-axis represents the fraction of subjects carrying a given genus (prevalence). The y-axis shows the average fractional abundance (m ± se) of that genus in those subjects. In general, highly abundant genera tend to be found in more subjects while lower abundance genera are less widely distributed. However, some high abundance genera are harbored by only a subset of subjects
