The horizontal axis shows the fraction of co-localizing protein pairs that match PIC predictions, and the vertical axis shows the fraction of the gold standard interacting protein pairs that match PIC predictions. Rapid enrichment of PIC with interacting protein pairs indicates that it detects protein-protein interactions rather than localization.
