  1. Although the Drosophila Na+, K+-ATPase has classically been thought to be composed of a dimer of Atpalpha and either Nrv1 or Nrv2, the other genes here are more similar by BLASTX to the corresponding alpha and beta subunits than any other gene (data not shown). They are thus included in the table as candidate alternative subunits.
