A canonical receptor-like kinase gene such as CLAVATA1 from Arabidopsis thaliana. The leucine-rich repeats differ extensively in number; intron number may also vary significantly - for example, LjSymRK contains 14 introns whereas GmNARK/HAR1-1 has one; and the 3' UTR (untranslated region) often provides a means to distinguish closely related RLK genes (see [27]).
