(a) Gene-expression changes in LNCaP treated with 1 nM R1881 and with dihydrotestosterone (DHT) at 10 nM, 100 nM or 1,000 nM. Note the apparent increase in gene expression with successively higher doses of DHT. On the far right are two experiments in which LNCaP cells were deprived of androgen for 48 and 72 h and that display reciprocal expression patterns. Green, red, black and gray bands as in Figure 1.
