Proteins in red were implicated in this pathway for the first time by Tyers and colleagues [1]: Ptk2 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that regulates ion transport across the plasma membrane; Sch9 is a serine/threonine protein kinase (similar to Akt/PKB) that regulates longevity and stress resistance; Sfp1 is a zinc-finger-containing transcription factor that was initially described as an inhibitor of the G2/M transition; and Cdh1 is an activator of the anaphase-promoting complex.
